The Light Adjustable Lens changes that.
Made from a special photosensitive material, the LAL can be adjusted after surgery using precise ultraviolet (UV) light treatments to refine your vision.

How the Process Works
1. Cataract Surgery (Performed by Your Surgeon)
Your cataract surgeon removes the clouded natural lens and implants the Light Adjustable Lens.
2. Healing Period
Your eye heals over the following weeks while your vision stabilizes.
3. Vision Customization (Performed in Our Office)
Once healed, we perform a series of light treatments to adjust your lens.
- Typically 2–4 quick, in-office treatments
- Each treatment takes only a few minutes
- Adjustments are based on your personal vision goals
These treatments reshape the lens to refine your prescription with high precision.
4. Lock-In Your Vision
Once your ideal vision is achieved, a final light treatment “locks in” your results.
